G5 Evo is the ultra-technical water-repellent boot for high altitude mountaineering, ice climbing and use in cold environments. Easy and quick to put on thanks to the lower lacing with BOA® Fit System placed outside the gaiter that allows a secure closure with gloves and does not require the opening of the zipper. The Velcro Power Strap placed in the upper part of the hull also allows a secure and precise closure and in combination with the adjustable collar prevents the entry of snow or ice. G5 Evo is equipped, like all the products in the La Sportiva high-mountain line, with quick-drying materials that facilitate prolonged use. Protection from atmospheric agents is maximum thanks to the water-repellent gaiter with heat-sealed zipper and the internal thermo-taping with innovative UltraSonic Welding technology that allows the materials to be joined together without the need for seams, increasing water repellency. Volumes and weight are reduced to the maximum: the protective edge is made of super light PU TechLite™ anti-abrasion material while the midsole is made of 3 mm honey-comb tech insulating carbon. The warmth is accentuated by the GORE-TEX INFINIUM™ THERMIUM™ Insulation Technology membrane that wraps the shell from the front, including the midsole: it increases the warmth at the toe, favoring the use of the boot even in static situations. G5 EVO combines the thermal insulation characteristics of a double shell boot with those of lightness and volume containment of a single shell boot. Gimme Five, G5.
