Structured and protective, it is suitable for Ultra Trails, Ultra Marathons and extended training sessions in the winter months. Particularly snug, comfortable and protective, it is a trail shoe designed for prolonged use on off-road terrain. It features a water-repellent and abrasion-resistant mesh upper that is very snug and structured in 3 layers that provide from the inside out: comfort, thanks to the seamless construction, flexibility and structure thanks to the innovative MicroLite Skeleton™ application that follows the foot’s movement dynamically during running, protection thanks to the Flex-Guard™ structural applications that keep the shoe lightweight while providing a barrier against possible abrasions when running among rocks and roots. Exceptional stability is provided by the TrailCage System™ technology which, positioned between the two layers of the upper, provides structure and support while integrating with the lacing system. The sole developed by La Sportiva’s R&D department features the new FriXion XT grip tread with Impact Brake System and exclusive design with Trail Rocker technology that promotes the natural “outer heel-inner toe” foot strike during running. Cushioning, protection and comfort, 3 sides of a perfect geometry: origami, which inspires the overall design of the shoe. With Akyra, winter running is an art.
