LA SPORTIVA Aequilibrium Speed GTX

Aequilibrium Speed Gtx is a men’s mountaineering shoe from La Sportiva.

The Aequilibrium range was created to respond to a new practice of mountaineering with technical products but light for faster progression.

In this version, Aequilibrium Speed Gtx represents the perfect balance between performance and lightness. It features a water-repellent external gaiter in resistant stretch fabric with internal gusset. Under this gaiter, a GORE-TEX lined liner provides comfort, breathability and waterproofing. The integrated pad in the gaiter protects the ankle and the ergonomic shape of the shoe’s construction wraps the foot well to adjust internal volume and for more precision. This liner has a 100% recycled Quick-Lace quick lacing system that allows precise and practical adjustment wherever you are.

The sole has a protective edge with a transparent PU anti-puncture film for greater lightness, and TPU inserts in the rear area of the heel compatible with semi-automatic crampons. To facilitate the movement of the foot, the sole has a rocker in the front but also a special Double Heel™ construction in the heel area. This technology consists of separating the bead into two parts for optimized ride comfort, but also to improve braking capabilities when going downhill. Finally, everything is completed by a Vibram® grip and an Impact Brake System.
