terrain Mow comfortably and safely on slopes with the AS 940 Sherpa 4WD XL. The 724 cc Briggs & Stratton 2-cylinder engine develops 27 hp. Thanks to the fuel pump and engine oil, it is perfectly suited for slopes. The ride-on lawn mower, with its permanent 4-wheel drive, XL tires (agricultural structure), very low center of gravity and total weight of only 298 kg, offers the necessary safety on slopes. The lawn mower is driven by a stepless hydrostatic transmission. The hydrostatic transmission allows you to set the speed from 0 to 6.7 km/h forward and 0 to 6.5 km/h backward using the drive lever. The hydrostatic transmission is controlled solely by the drive lever, which has four functions: Forward and reverse, travel brake and parking brake. There is also a foot brake. When you apply this brake, the drive lever moves to the middle position. This automatically applies the parking brake. Under extreme conditions, the rear wheel lock can be activated at any time with the pedal.

A very robust
cutter bar design The AS 940 Sherpa 4WD XL is equipped with a cutter deck with AS cross-blade system and a cutting width of 90 cm. This means that it can mow up to 5,500 m²/hour and grass up to 1.5 m high. The lawn mower is also suitable for brushwood. The AS cross-blade system cuts, chops and shreds at the same time. This is done thanks to the reversible blades on oscillating bearings attached to the cutter bar. The blades cut the grass and then the mulching blade above the mulcher and shreds it. The closed cutting deck, which deposits the grass clippings at the rear, ensures optimal mowing. This ensures safety, especially on slopes and in wet conditions, as the grass clippings are not rolled. The mowing deck with surface prevents obstacles from lifting. This prevents the blade from touching the ground when you go over a bump, for example. This protects the blades and the mowed lawn. The cutting height adjustment is central and spring-loaded. The cutting height can be adjusted in 5 positions from 80 to 135 mm.

Maximum comfort even on long working
days The go-kart-like seating position allows people between 1.60 and 2.00 m tall to work comfortably. This is partly due to the long integral tubular frame. In addition, the seat can be individually adjusted in length for each user. The seat suspension package can be infinitely adjusted to the individual user. Because the driver sits “inside” the machine, the low center of gravity of the AS 940 Sherpa 4WD XL remains low. The lawn mower is also equipped with a brush cutter.
