Simplified forage production. The AS 585 KM makes the production of fodder for animals efficient and cost-effective. It works on the drum mower principle. It consists of a mowing drum with blades and the glide plate. The sliding plate, which is mounted under the mowing drum, ensures parallel contact with the ground of the mower and at the same time determines the cutting height. Four oscillating blades are mounted on the driven cutting drum that cut grass close to the ground, up to a height of 60 cm. The high speed of the cutting drum ensures a clean cut of the grass. The grass is spread in uniform swaths in rows. This means that it can be collected, loaded and transported quickly. With a cutting width of 62 cm, the rotary mower achieves an area output of up to 1,500 m² per hour.

The OHV XP 200 4-stroke engine offers sufficient power reserve. The 196 cc engine delivers a maximum power of 4.8 hp. The drive can be engaged via a lever and allows a forward speed of 2.4 km/h. On more demanding terrain or for better propulsion, the rear wheels can be locked manually. The guide bar can also be adjusted to individual working heights to ensure comfortable working. The guide bar is foldable. This makes the AS 585 KM, with its 66 kg, easy to transport by car.

The machine is equipped with easily interchangeable cutting blades that can be used on both sides. The significantly reduced vibration of a rotary mower and the robustness of the cutting blades significantly reduce maintenance and repair costs compared to a beam mower.
