The 2-stroke engine of the AS 510 ProClip 2T ES A is suitable for mowing work on slopes with an incline of up to 40 degrees. The lubrication of the 2-stroke engine is independent of position. Engine damage caused by lubrication failure is excluded. This is the fundamental advantage of a 2-stroke engine over a 4-stroke engine. The 2-stroke engine developed and manufactured by AS-Motor is the only one in the world fitted to a lawnmower that meets EU Directive 97/68/EC on emissions. As standard, the AS 2-stroke engine is equipped with the EasyStart function. The CDI digital ignition system halves the number of revolutions required for starting. The engine starts extremely easily. Even in tall grass, the 2-stroke engine has sufficient power and torque. The third crankshaft bearing, in combination with the friction discs on the mulching blade, offers optimal engine protection in the event of collisions with foreign objects. The large, profiled drive wheels ensure the best possible traction even on inclines. In addition, the speed can be conveniently adjusted continuously while moving via Variomatic, from 2.1 to 4.3 km/h. The narrow front wheels, equipped with double ball bearings, press the grass down very little during mowing. The special mulching blade with multiple cutting edges cuts, swirls and shreds the grass evenly into a fine mulch. This falls back into the lawn almost imperceptibly.
