AS-Motor’s robust self-propelled mulcher is designed for intensive use on uneven, rough and sloping terrain. The flail mower is able to effortlessly shred large green areas, vegetation up to 1.5 meters high, brushwood and waste. The mulcher is suitable for professional use by service providers, municipalities and in the gardening and landscaping industry, among others.

Powerful machine with direct cutting
shaft drive The AS 1040 Yak 4 WD is powered by a two-cylinder Briggs & Stratton V-Twin Vanguard engine. The horizontal engine delivers a maximum power of 23 hp (17.2 kW) with a displacement of 627 cm3 and transmits power directly to the flail shaft via V-belts. The optimal supply of fresh air is ensured by the cyclonic air filter. Thanks to the oil and fuel pump, the AS 1040 Yak 4WD mulcher is perfectly at home on the slopes.

Continuous all-wheel drive with cruise control
Thanks to the hydrostatic transmission, the clad-rack flail mower can be used comfortably and continuously with a maximum speed of 6.8 km/h in forward and 6.3 km/h in reverse. Permanent all-wheel drive ensures perfect propulsion on all terrains. In addition, the rear axle differential can be locked at any time via a foot pedal. The machine is operated easily and comfortably with the guide lever. This lever incorporates the parking brake and cruise control function. In addition, the parking brake can be activated via a foot pedal.

Floating cutter bar with Y-fins
Equipped with 56 Y-shaped flails and a working width of one metre, the AS 1040 Yak 4WD mulcher achieves an output of 6,800 m²/h. The shredded material is deposited evenly over the entire working width. There are 7 levels available to select the cutting height from 30 to 110 mm. The upward deflection of the entire cutter bar (floating cutter deck) and the Y-coils on the shaft prevent damage to the mowing rotor as much as possible. The asymmetrical arrangement of the mowing rotor allows efficient mowing around edges and obstacles.

Comfortable working for long days
The ergonomic seat position on the machine ensures sufficient legroom for users up to 1.95 m in height. In addition, the bucket seat can be adjusted in length to suit the individual user. The innovative suspension system with end position damping can also be adjusted individually and continuously for each operator. In addition, all operating elements are logically arranged.
