Getting the robot up and running again after winter break: practical guide

After months of downtime during the winter, it is essential to properly reactivate your robot mower to ensure its proper operation and prolong its life. Whether you have entrusted the annual service to our certified technicians STIHL or you have stored the robot in the basement, there are a few essential tasks that need to be performed.

Steps to be taken before restarting

  1. Thorough cleaning: First of all, remove any residual dirt, dust and moisture from the robot.
  2. Visual inspection: Check the condition of the blades, wheels and sensors. If you notice wear and tear or damage, it is recommended to replace defective components.
  3. Battery check: Make sure the battery is charged and in good condition. After a long period of inactivity, an initial full charge may be needed.
  4. Software update: Check for any available firmware updates to ensure maximum performance.
  5. Checking the charging base: Make sure the charging station is properly connected and free from obstacles.

In some cases it may be necessary to check the connections between the base station, the perimeter wire, and the Robot. The accompanying video shows you the various steps.

To facilitate these operations, we invite you to view our less than one-minute video tutorial, which will guide you step by step through the reboot process.
