Akyra is the waterproof shoe with Gore-Tex membrane specifically designed for winter trail running. Structured and protective, it is suitable for Ultra Trails, Ultra Marathons and extended training sessions in the winter months. Particularly snug, comfortable and protective, it is a trail shoe designed for prolonged use on off-road terrain. It features a water-repellent and abrasion-resistant mesh upper that is very snug and structured in 3 layers that provide from the inside out: comfort, thanks to the seamless construction, flexibility and structure thanks to the innovative MicroLite Skeleton\u2122 application that follows the foot’s movement dynamically during running, protection thanks to the Flex-Guard\u2122 structural applications that keep the shoe lightweight while providing a barrier against possible abrasions when running among rocks and roots. Exceptional stability is provided by the TrailCage System\u2122 technology which, positioned between the two layers of the upper, provides structure and support while integrating with the lacing system. The sole developed by La Sportiva’s R&D department features the new FriXion XT grip tread with Impact Brake System and exclusive design with Trail Rocker technology that promotes the natural “outer heel-inner toe” foot strike during running.
